+ Do you travel?

We are based in Sydney but we do love a road trip and will happily travel outside this area. We can travel as far as 20km from our Lower North Shore home. Our standard pricing includes travel within this 20km radius For events outside this radius a travel fee of $2/km applies. Google maps is used to calculate this. Teddy 'our bus' prefers not to travel too far as he is getting a little old!

+ What do I need to organise prior to arrival of teddy?

We requires three key things from the event host prior to arrival on site.

• A flat and clear accessible site to dimensions of our bus. 8m long x 3m high x 3m wide.
• Access to power, if not we will add the cost of a generator.
• Access to pre-chilled beverages on the menu.

+ Do you need access to power and water?

We do need access to water to operate. We also prefer to have access to 15 AMP / 3 phase power for our coffee machine and refrigerators.

For events held at venues without power, we do have an onboard generator which can be used for an extra fee. Please note the maximum generator running time is 4 hours per event.

+ When does the bus arrive?

Teddy will arrive at least 1 hour before your event so we have ample time to set up and be ready to serve at the allocated booking time. The set up and pack down of the bus is done in our own time. If you book the 3 hour package, it is 3 hours of actual alcohol or cafe service.

As we are all about no single use cups, plates etc we do ask you to provide us with deposit station / bins for easy return and ask for your help to leave a clean and tidy space post function. We hope to get a 100% return of all our cups & crockery. If you have access to a dishwasher it is also preferable that we wash up before we depart.

+ Where can you host a party?

We usually operate on private properties and venues. If you wish to set up the bus on a public space, this is also an option! In this case you will be responsible for obtaining relevant permissions and permits from the relevant Council.

+ How many guests can you serve?

Our standard package is based on 100 guests. Numbers higher than this we will charge $50 per hour for extra staff and $3 per person for extra glassware.

+ Do you charge for glassware breakage / loss?

Yes we do, Glassware breakage / loss will be charged at $3 per glass and be payable within 7 days after the event. We charge $1 to provide and wash all glassware pre & post event.

+ Do you do table service?

We prefer to serve only from Teddy. The Tonic Lane Bus is a stand up cocktail style service for your event. We love this style of event as it encourages guests to mingle with each other and also keeps your alcohol costs down.

The cafe is very casual for group of 25 or less we can provide chairs and milk crates but most of our cafe gigs are in parks were tables and chairs are a plenty.

+ Do you supply alcohol?

No. We do not supply alcohol. All alcohol is to be provided by the event organiser, venue or catering company. We operate as a BYO gin bus which means you will save a fortune by avoiding the heavy mark up on costs of drinks.

However for council events, community events & larger function we offer a joint service with our local brewery Flatrock Brewery at Naremburn. Best of both worlds!

+ How much alcohol do we need for our event?

This is probably the toughest part of your event planning but don’t worry we are here to help! We will assist you in calculating the amount of alcohol you need.

+ Do you have a cancellation policy?

We do. Once the booking is confirmed, the date is yours and we decline any other enquiry, no matter how may we receive. Please note that booking deposits are non refundable, ff a cancellation is notified:

• Within 30 days of the booked event, you will be liable for a further 25% of the booking fee.
• Within 14 days of the booked event, you will be liable for the full booking fee.

+ Do you have public liability insurance?
